Waiting on the weather

Over the weekend we got a LOT of rain.  Here is a picture of our back yard.  I don't know if you can tell but all of those trees are just sitting in water.  

And yesterday it got cold again.  But it was sunny and windy, which caused Tucker to insist that we go outside and fly his kite.  When we tried to explain that it was too cold and wet he came up with this solution...

He turned on the fan in our living room and said, "It's windy!  It's warm!"  Needless to say, we had to put the kite away for a while.  

Tucker has also been "learning" to tell time.  He has been extremely interested in clocks and so we have slowly been trying to teach him...boy is that a challenge.  Clocks are confusing!  But he now knows that the little hand is the hour and the big hand is the minutes and he knows he can not get out of bed in the morning until it's at least 5am.  Although we may have a little more work today because today when he got up at 6am he was incredibly disappointed he had missed 5...but we weren't.
