Today is Everett's first birthday! He is thankful for all the calls and cards.
As you can see, he has been practicing his steps (reluctantly) and is up to about 5 in a row now. It worked out really well this year because the Vicksburg Village festivities fell on his birthday. First we went to the parade. The band was a little loud for Tucker, but once they got to the candy throwing he was really into it.
Then we went in the community center to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. The boys were very good at waiting patiently, although Tucker was more interested in the candy canes then Santa. When asked what he wanted by Santa he said "presents." When Santa pressed further he narrowed it down to a "red toy."
After the parade we headed to the historical village to see the train set-up. Tucker was captivated and wants to be an engineer when he grows up to be 6 or 7, just like this little kid.
When we got home we had cake to celebrate Everett being one. This was my fist attempt at vegan baking and the chocolate cake turned out pretty ok to everyone. Everett really enjoyed it.
